We are Energy, new edition with a focus on sustainability

Enel offers the children of its employees around the world the opportunity to participate in an annual learning experience and a contest whose prize is the participation in an international campus held in Italy.

The project We are Energy for children aged 8 to 17 years embodies the company’s commitment to new generations and aims to encourage them to reflect on and engage in topics of huge global interest, inviting them to work in a creative and enterprising way as they follow a structured learning pathway.

The theme of the 2017 edition - titled Score the Goal - encourages students to reflect on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN for the year 2030. These are the very same challenges that Enel too is committed to focus on: clean and accessible energy, actions for the climate, decent work and economic growth, and quality education.

The participants of We are Energy are asked to come up with ideas and solutions to bring the SDGs to their 20 countries of origin: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Greece, Guatemala, India, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, United States, South Africa, Turkey and Uruguay.

The final prize is two weeks at the international campus that will be held in Italy in the month of July.

A special information kit, the Challenge Book, a manual that includes trivia, games, quizzes and much more, is provided to help inspire them, learn about and frame the various issues.

The We Are Energy community is active on Facebook with a page of its own.
