Enel: no abuse for the offering strategy regarding dispatching services

Rome, September 6, 2016 - Today, the Authority that Guarantees on Competition and the Market notified the beginning of proceedings for the alleged abuse of dominant position against Enel Produzione S.p.A. and Enel SpA, acting as controller, in order to check the offering strategy of the Brindisi plant on the wholesale electricity market and dispatching services in the period between March and June 2016.

Enel believes that it has acted lawfully, in full compliance with the relevant regulations on competition and the applicable regulatory requirements.

Confident of being able to prove its innocence on the allegations, Enel has provided the most comprehensive collaboration to the judges during inspections.
