Enel sponsors Green Day, an event promoted by the University LUISS Guido Carli, to discuss global development and environmental sustainability tomorrow in Rome.
A broad debate between the highest levels of governmental institutions and businesses on growth and environmental sustainability for a greener world and economy. This is the central theme of Green Day, an event promoted by the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, to be held tomorrow at 9.30 at the university headquarters.
The objective of the initiative is to infact to stimulate a wide-ranging reflection on the various aspects related to sustainable development and the green economy, by engaging academics, professionals, companies and institutions, in light of the issues that emerged during the XII United Nations’ Conference on climate change (COP22), which took place from November 7 to 18 in Morocco.
The event will be opened by environment minister Gian Luca Galletti, who will launch the first "Green Day" organised by LUISS University under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with Formiche magazine, the AGOL association and supported by Enel and Leonardo.
In addition to a speech by the Minister, sustainable development and environmental policies will be discussed by MEP Simona Bonafè, the CEO of Telespazio, Luigi Pasquali, General Manager of LUISS University Gianni Lo Storto, the company’s Head of Institutional Affairs of Italy, Massimo Bruno, the director of the Center for American Studies, Paolo Messa and the auxiliary bishop of Rome, Monsignor Lorenzo Leuzzi.
The day will then continue with three thematic panels: the first will deal with smart energy and smart cities, with Davide Ciciliato, Head of Market Central Italy, speaking on behalf of our company. The second panel will focus on the High tech at the service of the planet and people, and will see, among others, the contribution of Dianamaria Pacchioni, Enel’s Head of Innovation and New Business, Italy Market . The third one is called Food, the changing climate, access to energy, with Enel’s Head of Sustainability Andrea Valcalda speaking on behalf of our company .
Enel will also be present at Green Day with a stand where visitors can find out more about services and innovative products, developed to support the demand for energy efficiency and sustainable mobility solutions.
