The island of green tourism. Thanks to the rental network launched by Enel together with the Emotion startup, Ischia is set to become the tourist area with the highest concentration of recharging stations in Italy.

As of June, 30 Enel recharging stations will be available for tourists in the 15 hotels and other strategic points of the circuit created by the startup that specialises in electrical mobility. They will offer green coverage on all six of the island's municipalities, also thanks to the 20 electric cars provided by B-Rent. The goal of the Ischia Green Island project is to reach 50 columns soon.

Accustomed to meeting millions of tourists every year, the pearl of the Gulf of Naples is particularly sensitive to the issues of environmental protection and polluting emission reduction. Since 2013, the municipal administration started an alignment process with the European Union's "Isle Pact", which aims at reducing CO2 emissions and fossil fuels, as well as transforming the island into an incubator of new sustainable solutions.

“Ischia Green Island project,” said Enel’s Head of Territorial Area South of Italy Augusto Raggi, “shows that electric mobility, thanks to Enel's infrastructure for recharging zero emissions vehicles, can integrate with the island's specific needs, creating new scenarios for the diffusion of electric cars for the benefit of all: citizens, visitors, administrations and the environment.”
