30 drawings for the 31st edition of Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel. The new bicycle race in Val Badia (Trentino Alto Adige), sponsored by Enel for the tenth year, will truly be a special edition. The most significant moments of the race have been depicted and collected in an exhibition by illustrator Riccardo Guasco, also known as “Rik”, to celebrate the event, which on Sunday, 2 July will see the participation of 9,000 amateur cyclists setting off from La Villa: from start to finish line to the most exciting neck-and-neck finishes, capturing the natural beauty of the Dolomites, as well as the regional culinary specialties, with the typical characteristics that makes Rik one of the best contemporary interpreters of the Cubist and Futurist movement.

The theme of this year’s race – broadcasted live on Rai3 from 6:30am to 12 pm – is Amur (meaning love in the Ladin language). Participants will put themselves to the test in three different routes: the classic Sellaronda route (55 km, 1,780 meters of elevation gain), the medium route (106 km, 3,130 meters of elevation gain) or the actual marathon (138 km, 4,230 meters of elevation gain). A race has also been planned for children ages 6 through 12 on Saturday, 1st July: the Marathon for Kids-Sportful, starting in Corvara.

In its tenth year of sponsorship, Enel has become even more “social”. In addition to having set up an information point (“Casa Enel”) in Corvara’s Col Alto Hotel lounge, active from 9am to 7pm each day of the competition, it has organised an additional Instant Print and Photo Booth area: offering visitors the chance to take photographs of themselves with a digital background of their choice, while wearing merchandise and uploading the image directly on Facebook (via a link) or printing a polaroid. Visitors can also preview the selected backgrounds. The Photo Booth point will also offer a countdown service to perfect picture poses, exposure and graphics. A 12 and 20-wedge Wheel of Fortune, two of which marked “try again”, will award Enel prizes.

Get ready for this year’s competition. Enel has a prize for everyone.
