Rome, 10 November 2004 Enel denies that it has given a mandate to any banks to study a hypothetical merger of Wind and E.biscom, as rumored in the press.
Enel confirms that it considers Wind an important financial investment, the value of which it intends to enhance in the interests of shareholders, and that with this aim it will evaluate all options that may arise.
Further, Enel will quickly inform markets of any concrete opportunities in this regard and from now on will refrain from commenting on press rumors.
