Rome, 27 February 2009 - Regarding reports published today in an Italian media outlet on an alleged capital increase, Enel states that such a hypothesis is one of the possible options currently being evaluated to support the international growth resulting from the acquisition of Endesa. The Board of Directors of Enel has not pronounced itself on any of the options.
