Rome - Lyon, August 9th, 2010 Today Enel Green Power has started operating its second largest wind farm in France, with 24 MW of installed capacity from 12 wind turbines of 2 MW each. The Haut-de-Conge wind farm is located in the municipalities of Dampierre, Vitry-les-Nogent, Poinson-les-Nogent in Haute-Marne department (Champagne-Ardenne).
The Haut-de-Conge wind farm will produce over 50 million kWh per year, meeting the annual energy needs of about 15,000 households: the energy produced by the farm will avoid the emission of 40,000 tons of CO2, the greenhouse gas identified as one of the prime causes of climate change.

With the Haut de Conge wind farm, Enel Green Power Frances total installed capacity in France reaches 92 MW, with an annual production of over 200 million kWh. Other wind power plants for overall 64 MW are currently under construction.
