Rome-Rimini, November 9th, 2012 Enel and Confagricoltura (the Italian famers association) sign an agreement at the Ecomondo trade fair in Rimini, to work together towards sustainable development in support of the agro-energy industry.
Central to the agreement is the setting up of a Sportello Qualità a help and information desk aimed at providing members of the farmers association with an efficient, continuous assistance service, promoting the opportunities offered by the Enel and Confagricoltura partnership and organising meetings on subjects of common interest.
The Chairman of Confagricoltura, Mario Guidi, has also signed all the other implementation protocols for the framework agreement between Confagricoltura and Enel, which was signed last spring at the Taormina Academy. This partnership will offer member farming firms and families new services, special offers and expert assistance in order to provide them with support and open up new opportunities.
With regards to services such as energy efficiency and distributed micro-generation in particular, Enel.si, the Enel Green Power retail subsidiary, will be making available low voltage photovoltaic kits, mini-wind farms, mini hydro-electric power plants and small-scale biomass plants. It will also be possible for members to purchase thin-film technology photovoltaic panels at a discounted price.
