Santiago de Chile, November 6th, 2015 Enel S.p.A. (Enel) has announced that its Chilean subsidiary Enersis S.A. (Enersis) held a presentation today for the financial community to illustrate the main features, purpose and expected schedule of the corporate reorganisation designed to separate the electricity generation and distribution activities in Chile from those carried out in other Latin American countries. This reorganisation was reviewed yesterday by the boards of directors of Enersis and its Chilean subsidiaries Empresa Nacional de Electricidad S.A. and Chilectra S.A. Enel announced that review and the structure of the reorganisation to investors in a press release published today.
The above presentation also contained information on future investments and the financial targets of the Enersis companies following the completion of the corporate reorganisation.
More specifically, for 2016-2019 planned investments are expected to total 6.2 billion US dollars, of which 1.7 billion will be invested in Chile and the remaining 4.5 billion in the other Latin American countries (Peru, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina) in which Enersis operates through its subsidiaries. The following financial targets have also been set:
