Inclusion, advocacy, support, territory, growth and solidarity are all at the heart of Enel Cuore, our Group’s non-profit organization, as it turns 20. Enel Cuore has spent two decades alongside organizations in the third sector, supporting more than 950 projects throughout Italy, in order to always be on the right side: the side with the most need.
We celebrated this important anniversary on Tuesday, December 12th within the framework of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, accompanied by the music of the young and talented members of the JuniOrchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. The event was the perfect occasion to also celebrate our 20-year partnership as a Founding Member of this Italian example of excellence and one of the oldest musical institutions in the world.
To date, Enel Cuore has transformed thousands of stories for the better with its energy, standing beside those who help and giving tangible support to communities and the territory. Many of the protagonists from these stories came together at this event dedicated to sustainability, solidarity and music. They brought their testimony and a wish to continue on the path undertaken and be courageous towards the challenges of the future, always working for the well-being of people.
Our President, Paolo Scaroni, kicked off the evening together with the President and Superintendent of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Michele dall'Ongaro, with the presentation of 15 scholarships for young JuniOrchestra musicians that Enel Cuore awards based on merit to support these students during their academic journey. A packed audience then listened to the musical opera Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev, conducted by Maestro Simone Genuini and narrated by the actor Alessandro Preziosi. The narration of the famous tale was accompanied at every step by the musical instruments that conveyed stirring sound images.
It was a special evening that allowed us to reconfirm our Group’s commitment, through Enel Cuore, to continue to support those in need with passion, dedication, a desire to help and, above all, endless energy.
