ENEL COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF FRANCE TELECOM S SHAREHOLDING IN WIND

Rome, July 1, 2003 –

Having received a green light from the Antitrust Authority, Enel today completed the purchase of the 26.6% of Wind’s share capital formerly held by Orange (France Telecom Group). The transaction was conducted in accordance with the conditions communicated on March 21 of this year. From today, therefore, Wind’s entire share capital is owned by Enel.
