Enel, smart working kick-off

Published on Wednesday, 31 May 2017

Regardless of where they are, employees must always be available for their superior or for anyone who needs to contact them. However, smart working does not allow to accumulate extra hours and employees must previously agree upon the various conditions with their superiors. The company and trade unions also agreed to continue monitoring new forms of work, in order to improve this formula. The only ones excluded are newly hired employees, apprentices, part-time workers and activities that are commercially incompatible with remote working.

Undoubtedly, out-of-office work is an opportunity made possible by digitisation.

The boundaries between self-employed and employed workers are becoming hazy and the innovative age of productive relations that is opening up relies on industry 4.0 and the introduction of new network technologies to increase productivity and quality of work.
