#CircularEconomy, a journey to smart cities

Cities generate about 70% of global CO2 emissions, are responsible for more than 60% of resource use and produce 50% of waste. Considering that by 2050 about two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities, they will play a key role in addressing the effects of climate change. For this reason, it is crucial that urban settings also adopt a circular model and accelerate the decarbonization path with upgrading, electrification and efficiency measures.
